The Nuba are an indigenous African people who managed to preserve genuine human values because of their life in an inaccessible place. They are a healthy and happy people. Their home is on the stony islands in the midst of the savannahs west of the Nile, over 1,000 metres above sea level. Owing to the special geographic characteristics, they have water in the mountains even during the worst drought. The Nuba gather around the village wise men, who keep the peace, heal the sick and predict the weather. But unfortunately they’ve been suffering for the last ten years because of violent atrocities and greed of their assailants.
